Saturday 4 March 2023 – Winner announcement and anthology launch party as part of Mansfield Readers and Writers Festival
In the lead up to our first readers and writers festival on 4&5 March 2023, we’re launching a national short story competition. We’re looking for great stories, from authors anywhere in Australia, that link to a theme of ‘heart’.
Entries opened on 29 August and closed at midnigh Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time. The winning writer will receive a prize of $1000. There’s also a local (Mansfield Shire) writer’s prize of $500 sponsored by 187 Merrijig. Winning stories and longlisted entries will be published in our short story anthology.
