2025 High Country Words Writing Competition – SCRUB

SCRUB Anthology is now available!

Sit back with a cuppa and enjoy these short stories, poems and bush poems inspired by the theme of ‘scrub’ in the inaugural High Country Words writing competition.

With characters tearing through the Australian bush, scrubbing boats, or hiding scrubby souls, these pieces alternately deliver laughter, tears, or the desire to sit back and reflect on a special moment. Whether you meander through the scrub or race to the end, the journey will be its own reward.

To order, email inkbookshopmansfield@gmail.com and we will send you an invoice. They are $25 per copy and postage is approximately $10 for up to 4 copies or $20 for up to 10 copies. Alternatively, you can pick one up in person at Ink Bookshop or at the Mansfield Readers & Writers Festival Oct 11-12.
