If there's an event in our program that you'd like to volunteer at, please complete this section.

Session owners - this is a responsible position and will involve more work and commitment than other roles. You'll be the person who knows most about the event. If anybody has questions about this event they'll come to you.

Welcome and support - In this role you'll welcoming people to the event, checking tickets (if it's a ticketed event), guiding them to their seats, helping them find the loo. You'll be sitting up the back of the event, near the doors. This means you get to attend but you need to keep your ears and eyes peeled for latecomers and people who need help. You may also need to take microphones to the audience during Q&A sessions at the end of discussions.

Author liaison - you'll be in touch with the authors appearing at the event, helping them with directions, making sure they arrive on time and getting them to the book signing table when the event is finished. You'll be working closely with the session owner.

Event timings

• Panel events go for 45 minutes to an hour
• Workshops and masterclasses go for around 90 minutes
